The regular gameplay is the same as any standard 5 reel slot, you can set your bets based on the number of lines, something I like as it gives you the chance to bet very high. The higher paying symbols are the Egyptian Gods, and the mysterious “Book of Dead” acts as the wild symbol and the trigger for the game’s bonus features.
If you land 3 or more “Book of Dead” symbols anywhere on the reels, you’ll be awarded 10 free spins, which can be retriggered if you land more “Book of Dead” symbols during this bonus round. There’s an also a gamble feature, this happens to be one of my favourite bonus features since it’s available every time you win, and you can just opt out if you’re not feeling particularly lucky. You can choose to guess the correct colour or suit, and your wins will be either doubled or quadrupled if you guess correctly. Obviously, you will lose all your winnings if you guess wrong, and this did happen to me a few times, but I quickly made up for it the next time around.
The game’s Ancient Egypt theme works really well, and the HD graphics and symbols are very eye-catching. The game’s context, I.e. grave-robbing with Rich Wilde adds a great deal of fun and excitement.
The game was fun to play, and there are some very big payouts to be won.
