If you’re a fan of horror films and enjoy online gaming, then the latest news from Microgaming must make it feel like Christmas came early this year. The software giant has been granted an exclusive license to produce a video slot based on the iconic 70s horror film, Halloween. That’s right, not only is one of the terrifying characters in cinema history returning to the big screen next year, he will also be featured in the new Microgaming slot, set to be released this October.
Microgaming haven’t released too much information regarding the gameplay, but the promo video indicates it will be a 5 reel slot with plenty of bonuses, including wilds, scatters, and a “spin the wheel” bonus game. There’s also a bonus mini-game, where you have to help Lynda escape from the petrifying Michael Myers.
Microgaming has stayed faithful to the original movies, and the game features fragmented clips from the early films in the classic series. The symbols are the characters from the first few movies, as well as several murder weapons and a clown mask. The bonus games depict animated versions of the famous scenes, and if you don’t escape in time, the knife-wielding supervillain appears.
Unless it’s late at night and you’re already a little scared, take a look here and see it for yourself:
Microgaming couldn’t have timed this release any better, as it was just announced that the another movie is in the works, and the cult-classic series will be returning to the big screen. The promo looks fantastic, and we can’t wait to play the game when it comes out.
