Story
Look, we assume that you know the stories of both Hansel and Gretl and Red Riding Hood, and if you don’t, then we’ll give you the short version, which is some cute kids are abandoned/walk through the woods, and escape from something evil at the end before saving the day.
The slot games both convey the stories they were based on nicely, with some cute character animations of both Hansel and Gretl and Red Riding Hood.
Extra Features
There are a lot of bonus features hiding in the woods, apparently!
While in Red Riding Hood, there are 20 paylines, sticky wild re-spins and three random features, the piece de resistance is the Beware the Wolf Bonus, where players move around a board to win coins, while dodging the Wolf, with multipliers of up to 20x your stake.
In Hansel and Gretl, NetEnt chose to lower the paylines from 20 to 10, and the sticky wilds became stacked wilds BUT there’s still the other bonus features, including the Treasure Chest bonus game.

Verdict
Both games may seem pretty similar – obviously, as a part of the same series, they will have several things in common. However, there are a lot of interesting bonus features on offering both, while one game – Hansel and Gretl – has 10 paylines, and Red Riding Hood has 20, it’s best to play both games to get a feel for what you might prefer.
